The duty to notify applies to employers abroad and self-employed persons with a duty to notify from the European Union (EU), European Economic Area (EEA) and Switzerland who work temporarily in the Netherlands.

This includes:

  • employers who come to the Netherlands with their own personnel;
  • multinational companies that post workers to their own branch in the Netherlands;
  • temporary employment agencies that make temporary agency workers available in the Netherlands;
  • self-employed persons working in certain sectors.
