A contact person is the point of contact in the Netherlands for the employer abroad. It must be a person who is physically present in the Netherlands. They must be able to answer the questions of the Netherlands Labour Authority about the posting on behalf of the employer abroad. A contact person must also be authorised to send and receive documents about the posting.

Only natural persons can be a contact person. A posted worker can be the contact person, provided they are available in the Netherlands throughout the posting period to answer questions from the Netherlands Labour Authority. An administrative office cannot be a contact person, but a person working in an administrative office can.

In the notification portal you have to provide an address where the contact person can be reached in the Netherlands. This address must be in the Netherlands because the contact person must be present in the Netherlands. It could for instance be the address of the place of work.

It is only possible for the contact person to have an address outside of the Netherlands for notifications in international road transport.
