In response to user comments and wishes, some changes are made to the notification portal. The changes will be available from December 22, 2020.

VAT number

It is now possible to indicate in the notification portal that the company or self-employed person does not have a Value Added Tax (VAT) number.

If your company has a VAT number, or if you have a VAT number as a self-employed person, you are obliged to provide this number.

In some countries however, a VAT number is not mandatory for certain companies or self-employed persons. In some cases it is not possible to request a VAT number. In some countries this applies, for example, to self-employed persons or to companies with a turnover under a certain amount.

If the company or self-employed person does have a VAT number, it is still obliged to provide this number.

Chamber of Commerce number

For foreign companies and self-employed persons who are not registered in a commercial registry, it is now possible to indicate this in the notification portal. This option is not available for companies established in the Netherlands.

When a company is registered in the Dutch Chamber of Commerce or in a commercial registry outside the Netherlands, it is mandatory to provide this registration number. However, registration in a commercial registry is not mandatory for all companies and self-employed persons in Europe, and in some cases it is not possible. Therefore it is now possible to indicate this in the notification portal.

If the company or self-employed person is registered in a commercial registry, it is still obliged to provide this number.

Companies based in the Netherlands must always register with the Dutch Chamber of Commerce. Those companies are obliged to provide the number of registration in the notification portal.

Temporary employment agencies that are based outside the Netherlands, and that post workers to the Netherlands, are also obliged to register in the Dutch Chamber of Commerce. For these companies, it is also mandatory to provide the Chamber of Commerce number in the notification portal.

Contact person for international road transport

In the case of one-year notifications in international road transport, it is now possible to indicate in the notification portal that reported employees in the Netherlands act as contact persons for their own journeys. In that case a mobile phone number will be asked.

The service provider can therefore choose between two options: a contact person in the Netherlands for the project, or indicate that the employees are contact persons for their own journeys.

For one-year notifications in road transport, it was already possible to provide an address outside the Netherlands for the contact person. This does not change.

Personal identification number and other personal data

It is no longer obliged to enter the personal identification number of the reporter, the legal representative, the contact person in the Netherlands and the person responsible for payment of wages.

The personal identification number (if this has been entered), the date of birth and the nationality of these persons are also shielded from the service recipient. This means that the service recipient will only see the name, address and e-mail of the above persons.

It remains mandatory to provide the personal identification number of posted employees.

Number A1 certificate

The maximum number of digits that can be entered for the number of an A1 certificate has been extended.

Search function by some personal data

Service providers and service recipients can now search for employees by email address and personal identification number, within the notifications to which they have access.

A search button is added on the tab in which your notifications are visible. Searching by other personal data is not possible.
